QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BEng/BSc Process, Mechanical Engineering Chemical or similar qualification
  • A minimum of 10 years applicable experience in process engineering
  • Experience with Change Management processes and Project Management
  • Demonstrated experience with interaction with clients
  • Must have advanced knowledge of engineering and engineering design principles
  • Must have advanced understanding of contract management principles
  • Must have strong analytical and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a business division, forming and leading a successful high-calibre team
  • Chemical plants experience – essential
  • International business development experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Lead an executive team in the design, development, fabrication, construction, commissioning and integration of product production facilities and training solutions
  • Recruit and form a strong knowledgeable, multi-disciplinary team from the international and local market to enable quick success, thus ensuring the establishment of critical technologies in the company
  • Create and monitor personal and overhead budgets in accordance with company guidelines
  • Develop and/or acquire new technologies and capabilities as a strategic extension of the company’s international Plant Engineering business
  • Implement and offer the new capability to the market through the company’s New Business Development and Sales structure
  • Establish and maintain standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations
  • Create and negotiate co-operation agreements with industrial partners for achieving business objectives
  • Ensure the implementation of the latest technologies and processes into engineering solution on foreign as well as RDM opportunities
  • Provide innovate solutions, as alternatives, to the current product offering and to match international standards
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in the chemical plant
  • Foster transformation and employment equity in the department in lieu of the company objectives

Our well-established client, a market leader in the food production cleaning and sanitation industry is seeking a skilled and competent Supervisor to join their successful and dynamic team of individuals

In this role, it will be crucial for you to anticipate the needs of the client and work flexibly to accommodate schedules

The ideal candidate will have sound experience in the food production industry, especially regarding sanitation and hygiene standards. Able to lead and manage a team, to produce a food safe site, daily. Sound track record as team leader or supervisor of a culturally diverse labor force

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

 Grade 12
 Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the food production industry.
 Must be able to manage the strict flow of an operation and variable allocation of resources.
 Be strong operationally with good track record in Industrial Relations.
 Hours of work are not restricted to normal working hours – must have the ability to work additional hours and be flexible with working hours as requested.
 Meet key delivery dates.
 Knowledge of compliance procedures and accreditation is essential (i.e. ISO 14001, HACCP, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Lead and manage team in order to produce a food safe site, daily.
 Manage and achieve the Budgeted Man-hours and Purchases in their Section(s).
 Maintain a hygienic and safe working environment with compliance to all statutory safety regulations.
 Manage individual and team performance; coach and develop staff.
 Responsible for all Operational activities in their section, including operational problem solving.
 Maintain Customer relationship; meet Customer expectations and eliminate plant damage & downtime.
 Adhere to and promote the Company Value system by compliance

OPERATIONS SPECIALIST – Northern West, RUSTENBURG

Lead & manage Site Managers, who in turn must manage their sites in order to produce a food safe portfolio, daily. Manage and achieve the Portfolio Financial Budget. Enforce a hygienic & safe working environment, with compliance to all statutory safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

Grade 12 plus a qualification in management

A sound track record as a manager of a socially and culturally diverse labor force.

Previous Site Management experience on food production contracts /hygiene cleaning is essential.

Minimum 4 years’ experience in the food production industry is an advantage.

Sound knowledge of food equipment cleaning and chemicals is essential

Must have thorough knowledge of third-party audit requirements.

Must be able to manage the strict flow of operations and variable allocation of resources.

Strong operationally with good track record in Industrial Relations.

Strong customer relations skills.

Hours of work are not restricted to normal working hours – must have the ability to work additional hours & be flexible with working hours as requested. – male therefore preferred

Driver’s License and own vehicle is essential.

The incumbent must be willing to travel extensively.
