We are looking for a skilled and competent Operations Specialist from the Food Production (hygiene cleaning) industry in the KZN Region. If you have the potential for management and you would like to enhance your career by developing your skills, this is the position for you.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

 Ideally passed Grade 12 plus a Qualification in Management

A sound track record as a manager of a socially and culturally diverse labor force.
 Previous Site Management experience on cleaning/hygiene large contracts is essential.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in the food production industry / food production industry is preferred
 Must have thorough knowledge of third-party audit requirements.
 Must be able to manage the strict flow of operations and variable allocation of resources.
 Must be strong operationally with good track record in Industrial Relations.
Sound knowledge of HACCP and all food industry hygiene standards
 Must have strong customer relations skills.
Hours of work are not restricted to normal working hours – must have the ability to work additional hours and be
flexible with working hours as requested.
Driver’s License and own vehicle is essential.
 The incumbent must be willing to travel extensively.

Job Specification:

Lead & manage Site Managers, who in turn must manage their sites in order to produce a food safe portfolio,
daily.
 Manage and achieve the Portfolio Financial Budget.
 Attend weekly meetings with the Operations Managers to discuss all aspects on sites such as sites progress
reports, client feedback and team performance, aggregate hygiene reports and budgets.
 Enforce a hygienic & safe working environment, with compliance to all statutory safety regulations.
 Manage individual and team performance of HR Resource, and coach & develop Site Managers.
 Responsible for all portfolio operational activities, including operational problem solving.
 Manage individuals and team performance and identify any areas of improvement.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Minimum 1- 2 years Supervisory experience in the cleaning industry
Min 1 year experience in a HOSPITAL  environment
Must have experience in safety standards

Able to work a compressed shift 07h00 – 19h00
People Management Skills
Able to work independently and under pressure
Able to work long hours, after hours and some weekends
Ability to communicate, motivate, develop and coach staff at all levels
Qualifications: Matric/grade 12
