SENIOR BANQUETING COORDINATOR – UMHLANGA, KZN

JOB SUMMARY: To liaise with all clients, ascertaining their requirements and coordinating these needs to ensure the successful execution of functions and conferences in a timely manner in accordance with the standard of the Hotel, with the intention of ensuring that the highest standard of performance and service is achieved by all relevant parties. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•Matriculation certificate 

•Hospitality related qualification

•Must have at least 2 years experience in a 4 or 5 star senior banqueting position or similar

•Previous Food and Beverage operational experience will be advantage

•Must be a team player, well presented, calm, honest and enthusiastic

•Computer literate if MS Office suite

•Knowledge of OPERA would be an added advantage KPA’S

•Coordination: Initial Enquiry, Functions/Conference details, Reservations

•Quality Control: Quality of Service, Quality of Product

•Guest Relations: Response to guests, guest satisfaction checks, handling of complaints

•Administration: Proposals/Rejections, Invoicing, function sheets, Banqueting Diary, Accommodation reservations, Correspondence Call

Overseeing the day to day running of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Sous

Minimum Requirements:

•Matriculation certificate (or the equivalent)

•Either Culinary Arts, Catering management or Food Service Management diploma

•ESSENTIAL min of 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef within a 4 or 5 * property in HOT KITCHEN – ESSENTIAL

•HACCP certification
