EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER – LIVE IN POST (HARRISMITH AREA)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

 Diploma in Hotel Management will be an advantage

 Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor / Manager

 Working knowledge of OPERA will be an advantage KPA’S Responsible for the overall management of the Housekeeping & Laundry department

 Management of Housekeeping staff & co-ordinating work rosters

 Assign employees their duties and inspect work for performance to prescribed standard of cleanliness

 Assist room attendants in the cleaning of the units and public areas

 Daily unit inspections for cleanliness

 Create a culture that reports maintenance issues

 Create and keep record of inventories, stock to ensure adequate supplies and avoid stock loss.

 Responsible for all stock takes, stock variances and condemned items

 Conduct training and improve the standard of service currently offered in the rooms.

 Skillfully manage and address issues relating to performance, and ill-discipline

 Consistently recognize and encourage good performance
