Join this dynamic team who import and supply a wide range of welding equipment, gas and associated products to industry (FMCG/Engineering/Mining/Steel/Pulp and Paper/Fabricators etc) and watch your career develop based on performance. You would be responsible for managing customer relationships, pursuing new business opportunities and monitoring ROI’s for both the company and clients. Act as strategic advisor to all stake holders internally and externally continuously researching and anticipating customer needs. Deliver full end-to-end gas and welding solutions to clients, making their processes more efficient

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● Matric /Engineering or Sales and Marketing/Business Management/IMM or equivalent.
● 5 years sales experience (welding/engineering consumables/petrochemical/gas or related industry).
● Provide technical support on what welding/gas etc is required for your clients.
● Proven strategic prospecting through cold calling, referrals and networking.
● Business acumen including knowledge of business sectors, current market and industry status
● Account management and post-sale relationship management
● Strong negotiation skills
● MS Excel/PowerPoint and or Google skills.
● Valid driver’s license

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT – INSURANCE (Personal lines)
AREAS: Cape Town.
ROLE PURPOSE
Co. Insure has Business Development Consultant (BDC) opportunities for sales driven individuals in our Personal lines’ environment. BDCs are committed, driven, results oriented advisers who are able to work on their own as well as in a team environment writing business in accordance with targets laid down by Co. Insure.
Business Development Consultants (Personal lines) will be expected to source leads and achieve sales targets primarily on motor and household domestic insurance.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Matric/Grade 12
• FAIS Credits (min 30 credits in short term insurance if date of first appointment is before 2010); or if date of first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010, a full recognised qualification as per the FSCA qualification list
• FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5)
• If you are registered for one Class of Business (Personal or Commercial) you are required to have 12 CPD (continuous professional development) points. If you registered for two Classes of Business (Personal plus Commercial), you required to have 18 CPD points.
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in selling short term insurance either as a broker agent or tied agent, alternatively must have solid sales experience.
• Proven sales track record
• Candidate must have his own transport (CAR) and license
RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANTS (PERSONAL LINES):
• Source sufficient lead generating opportunities to ensure a minimum of 10 client quotes per week and 40 per month
• Minimum requirement of 11 written policies per month
• Maintain and update your Lead Generation Matrix on a weekly basis
• Manage the lead generation process
• Sign up a minimum of 5 active lead referral agents
• Generate interest for and introduce other Co. Insure specialists to prospects where appropriate
• Complete weekly reports that reflect leads, quotes and sales as well as the source of the leads, average premium, total premium and any other pertinent information which may be required from time to time
