LOGISTICS – OPERATIONS AND KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER

  • At least 10 years experience in direct sales of which at least 5 years should be managing Key Accounts within the Supply chain specific to Contract Logistics and Distribution
  • Degree or Diploma advantageous
  • Advanced Excel
  • Relevant technical and industry experience.
  • Creation of market and competitor analysis in alignment with business intelligence / strategy team.
  • Work off pre-set target customer list.
  • Creation of activity reports within the CRM system.
  • Maintain customer data in the CRM system.
  • Conduct customer calls.
  • Calculations, creation and coordination of offers.
  • Creation of yearly sales planning for own customer portfolio.
  • Previous work experience at companies the likes of DSV, K&N, DHL for industry knowledge an advantage

Meeting sales targets Day to day liaison with stores, operations, distribution and customers. External sales including handling of customer calls, preparation of quotations and processing of customer orders Exceptional customer interaction and service levels

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

 Minimum Grade 12.

Knowledge of Aluminium / Armor Plate / Carbon Steel / Tube and Pipe / Fencing /Fluid Control Systems products or associated products is key.

Minimum of 3-5 years external sales experience

Key account management is essential

Technical drawing experience and the interpretation thereof is a pre-requisite CAD experience is essential.

Must be computer literate, excellent knowledge of MS Excel and SAP experience is essential.

Excellent verbal / telephonic communication skills is a requirement

Must be a team player

 Reporting Structure:  This position will report to the Senior Sales Manager

Act and work as connector between Germany and SA.

POST REQUIREMENTS:
· B Degree in marketing, business, or related field.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant fields desired
· Basic level of technical understanding and interest in engines pref.
· Willingness to be trained in engine (parts) knowledge.
· Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.
